These 2 lovely heirlooms were made from the owner's clothes when she was a child. The family cat did damage to the oval and both rugs suffered from the wear and tear of years of use. The challenge was to incorporate 4 chairpads, black and white check material and red check material into the oval rug to make it larger once repairs had been made. This added 9" to the size of the rug on both ends and resulted in a more colorful and very lovely new treasure for sharon...and her memories were re-established in her home.
