"Ruth's Rugs"
Ruth's rugs were made in Milton, NH by my client's
grandmother 60-70 years ago with wool remnants from a local mill.
They have great sentimental value. Over time insect damage and normal
wear necesitated some repairs which consisted of lots of hand sewing
of tiny moth holes, and unlacing and replacing earlier repaired
areas that needed more help. The results, after cleaning the rugs,
are quite beautiful. The original colors, though faded are still
lovely and Ruth's workmanship excellent.
"...I want to thank you for restoring grandmother's
braided rugs. The stitching used to repair the rugs is virtually
invisible so it is almost impossible to see the repairs. Your workmanship
is so beautiful"...Glastonbury, Ct..
