Margaret was a master braider! The rug was extremely well made,
probably in the late 1930's and has survived lots of traffic over all
these years. She even used techniques such as "butting" and
"splicing" to make her lovely rug. Unfortunately time and
useage deteriorated the material in the center section so it litterally
crumbled away. The outside row was removed and used to repair the center.
The color doesn't match, but the rug is still composed of all original
material and has more years of service in its future.
