When Mae passed away a good friend ventured to have the rug repaired as a gift to Mae's husband. Most of the damage was puppy created (often is!) and repairs required replacement of braid sections. The little rug center was also fixed but then, as my personal gift to Mae's husband, I relaced the entire rug (at no charge) so it would lie flat.
