Made by the husband's mother, the rug was in sad shape when it arrived. To repair it was expensive but the owners wanted to have it done right so they would not lose this lovely piece of history. I removed 3 outside rows and replaced them with a new outer row made from new material. I then replaced 2 orange sections of missing braid and used the old outside rows to fix other broken areas. A taper and many butts were needed and 20 broken strands were also repaired.
