This was a fairly obvious fix. Remove one outside row and repair the center by replacing 2 damaged rows with the braid removed from the outside row. It turned out very nicely but unfortunately it was impossible to remove the old stain.

The small rug needed little repair but it was cleaned as well. It was completed in time to return to it's spot in the guest room before company arrived.
