Handmade in the early '50's, the owner grew up with the rug in the
family's summer home in Maine. It now resides with a companion rug in
her vacation house in New York State. Years of wear made the rug an
eyesore until it was refurbished in my studio here in Ct. Two outer
rows were used to replace 2 very worn rows in the midsection, and yards
of relacing repaired other areas of wear and tear. It looks wonderful
again.
