"Aunt Virginia's Rugs"
Made by Aunt Virginia in Mystic, Ct. 45-50 years
ago, her neice inherited the rugs when her aunt died. She remembers
her aunt working on the largest one and explaining how she did the
work. They are now important family treasures and, though old and
worn, have been restored to where they can once again brighten the
owner's home and those of her brother and daughter. Many broken
braids were reattached, pieces inserted where wool was missing,
the outside badly worn border removed and miscellaneous "sprouts"
cut back or sewn.

"I am so excited. The rugs look beautiful
and I definitely didn't expect to get them this soon...I just can't
thank you enough for the tender loving care you have shown in helping
me keep these rugs."...Columbia, Md.
