This lovely 40 year old rug, made by the owner's aunt, received a hopeless stain several years ago and was put into storage as unuseable. It was sent to me for restoration which involved removing and replacing the bad sections with wool removed from several of the outer rows of the rug. It was also enhanced by flattening many of the edges and butting the last row so there is no beginning or end.
