"Firecracker Too"...
2 1/2' X 10' Braided Hall Runner
This companion to "Firecracker",
a 5 1/2' round classic braided rug owned by a N.J. family, was
a challenge to create. The original was made with a variety of
used black and white patterned coats. To make "Firecracker
Too" it was necessary to scour consignment shops to locate
some compatible "old coats." Finally 5 were found in
the little upstate town of Sodus, N.Y., and the rug was created
using a total of 21 different fabrics and 21 shades of pink, red,
and black. The result of using so many shades of only 3 major
colors is spectacular...an explosion of color!!
