These chairpads are difficult to make because the hardest part of any rug is the beginning row and the final butt row. In a chair pad there are 2 of these difficult rows with few rows in between. This together with the fact that it is difficult to get such a small braided article perfectly round and perfectly flat gives one a good feeling when it is done properly.
